The club’s 18-hole Championship Course was originally designed by Henry Hughes and later renovated by Rees Jones, widely known as “The Open Doctor” for his championship course restorations across the country. Jones’ work at Columbine modernized the bunkering, strengthened green complexes, and enhanced shot values while maintaining the club’s classic parkland character.
The course plays as a traditional par-72 layout, framed by mature trees and defined by strategic positioning. Approach shots require precision, and the greens are thoughtfully contoured — rewarding players who understand angles and course management rather than simply distance.
What truly sets Columbine apart is its 27-hole offering. In addition to the Championship Course, the club features a dedicated walking-only Par-3 Course, designed by von Hagge, Smelak & Baril. This short course serves as the backbone of Columbine’s nationally recognized junior golf program, creating a true developmental pathway for young players.
