Established in 1922, Boulder Country Club blends traditional private club culture with modern family amenities against the backdrop of the Flatirons and the Indian Peaks. Located in the Gunbarrel neighborhood just minutes from downtown Boulder, the club has quietly built one of the most comprehensive private club offerings in the state.
The 18-hole championship course, designed by Press Maxwell, winds through mature trees, canals and lakes, offering classic shot values and greens known for their smooth roll and speed. The course stretches to 7,110 yards from the championship tees and maintains strong USGA ratings for both men and women. Complementing the main layout is a dedicated 9-hole Les Fowler par-3 course and a 4,137-yard Family Course, allowing beginners and juniors to develop comfortably while seasoned players refine their short game.
The practice facilities are among the strongest on the Front Range. Members enjoy a 24,000-square-foot putting green, multiple chipping greens, bunkers, and expansive range areas designed for great improvement.
But Boulder Country Club is not solely about golf. It was designed as a total country club environment serving over 800 member families . The club offers indoor and outdoor swimming pools, indoor and outdoor tennis courts, cardiovascular and weight rooms, complimentary group exercise classes, massage and physical therapy services, dining venues, and a full social calendar.
Membership Categories & Pricing
Boulder Country Club offers three primary membership tiers: Full Golf, Par 3, and Social
Boulder Country Club is currently operating on a waitlist for all membership levels — a reflection of both its long-standing reputation and the strength of demand in the Boulder market.
The Social Membership waitlist currently sits at approximately 47 prospective members, with a typical annual movement of 30 to 40 memberships per year.
The Par 3 Membership waitlist includes roughly 48 individuals, with annual attrition averaging 10 to 15 memberships.
The Full Golf Membership waitlist is the longest, currently around 83 prospective members, with a typical annual movement of 15 to 20 memberships.
What this means in practical terms is that while entry is absolutely possible, Boulder Country Club is not an immediate-access club. Timing matters. Application timing matters. And understanding how the waitlist moves year-over-year becomes part of the strategy.
