Summer in Denver doesn't ease in. It arrives all at once, and suddenly every weekend has three things happening and you have to choose. Here's my shortlist for June 2026 — the ones actually worth putting on the calendar.
Cherry Creek Arts Festival · June 7 Cherry Creek North
The Cherry Creek Arts Festival is one of those Denver summer staples that earns its reputation every year. It brings together visual artists, live music, and the kind of laid-back outdoor energy that Cherry Creek does better than almost anywhere in the city. The neighborhood is incredibly walkable, there are great spots to grab a drink or a bite nearby, and it's genuinely a nice way to spend a few hours without a plan. Go early if you want to actually talk to the artists before the crowds hit.
Civic Center EATS · June 14 Civic Center Park
If you find yourself near the Capitol on a weekend, Civic Center EATS is worth a detour. It's a food truck festival that takes over Civic Center Park with dozens of local vendors, everything from tacos to wood-fired pizza to something you've definitely never tried before. The park setting makes it feel more like a neighborhood gathering than an event. Good option if you want to eat something great without committing to a full sit-down experience.
Denver Music Festival · June 21 RiNo Art District
RiNo is one of those neighborhoods that rewards exploration. Murals around every corner, interesting bars, restaurants that actually have a point of view. The Denver Music Festival takes over multiple venues throughout the district for a multi-day celebration of local and regional artists. It's also just a great excuse to wander a neighborhood you maybe haven't spent enough time in lately. If you haven't been to RiNo recently, it's changed a lot. In the best way.
Denver Pride · June 28 Colfax Avenue
Denver Pride is one of the city's biggest and most energetic weekends of the year, and Colfax Avenue becomes something completely its own. Whether you're attending the parade, exploring the festival, or just soaking up the energy of the city at its most celebratory, it's a weekend that's hard not to love. Plan ahead, parking is a puzzle and the crowds are real, and just enjoy it.
One more worth mentioning year-round: The Cherry Creek Farmers Market runs Saturdays and Wednesdays through mid-November. June is when it really hits its stride. Fresh produce, local vendors, incredible baked goods. If you don't have a Saturday morning farmers market ritual yet, this is a good place to start one.
