Holiday Cocktails, Done Right!

Not sure what to serve this holiday season? Here are some great options to get your creativity flowing!

CHRISTMAS SANGRIA

Ingredients:

  • 2 bottles Pinot Grigio or Chardonnay
  • 3/4 cup sparkling apple cider
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup cranberries, halved
  • 3/4 cup cranberries, whole
  • 1 Granny Smith apple, chopped
  • 3 rosemary sprigs

Directions:

  1. Combine all ingredients in a large pitcher and stir together. You want to make sure to dissolve all the sugar. Refrigerate for at least 4 hours before serving. Serve chilled or over ice. Garnish with cranberries for a festive look!

MULLED WINE

Ingredients:

1 bottle of red wine (pinor noir, cabernet, merlot)⅓ cup brandy¼ cup honey1 orange, sliced1 pink lady apple, sliced (seeds removed)3 whole cloves1 cinnamon stick2 star anise.

Directions:

1. Add all of the ingredients to a medium sauce pan or dutch oven. Cover. 2. Turn burners to medium heat and let simmer for 30 minutes.3. Serve!

BOURBON APPLE CIDER

Ingredients:

1 1/2 cup apple cider4 ounces bourbon2 cinnamon sticks1/2 tsp whole cloves

Directions:

1. Combine all the ingredients in a small sauce pan and heat over medium­/low heat until liquid starts to steam and is hot to the touch. 2. Remove and garnish with cinnamon sticks and apple peel.3. Enjoy!
