The Ultimate Denver Metro Women’s Golf League Guide (2026): 7 Counties, 9 Holes to 18 Holes

The Ultimate Denver Metro Women’s Golf League Guide (2026): 7 Counties, 9 Holes to 18 Holes

If you’ve been curious about golf, wanting to play more consistently, or hoping to find a built-in community of women to hit the course with, joining a women’s league is one of the best ways to do it.
I’m a newer golfer, and last spring I joined the CommonGround Women’s Club. It was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made — not just for my swing, but for confidence, friendships, and consistency. I learned rules in real life, got on the course weekly, and met some truly incredible women who made golf fun and welcoming.
Since then, I’ve realized how great the women’s golf scene is here in the Denver metro, and I also realized how scattered the information can be. That’s exactly why this post exists — a one-stop updated guide to women’s golf leagues across the metro area’s seven counties: Denver, Jefferson, Adams, Arapahoe, Douglas, Boulder, and Broomfield.

Start Here — The Best Current Resources to Find Leagues & Clubs

🔗 Colorado Golf Association (CGA) – Main Site

This is the official umbrella org for most women’s golf clubs and associations in Colorado. Use this to navigate current league pages, club directories, and member resources.
https://www.coloradogolf.org/
(Note: specific “available leagues” lists are seasonally updated by courses and CGA; the main home page is where current links are published.)

🔗 LPGA Amateurs – Denver Chapter

A great community for women golfers that includes group play, clinics, social golf, travel, networking, and events. This goes beyond weekly leagues and is perfect if you want golf + community + fun events.

🔗 Women on Course – Denver Community Events

A national women’s golf community with a Denver group that hosts events, indoor leagues, clinics, instruction, networking nights, and more — a great complement to traditional league golf.

My Home Course (And Why I Love It)

CommonGround Women’s Club — Aurora

This is my home course and absolutely my favorite place to start playing regularly. They offer both 9-hole and 18-holewomen’s groups with Tuesday morning play that is inclusive of all handicaps and experience levels. It’s been one of the most welcoming ways I’ve learned the game and built confidence out on the course.

Boulder County

(Also appears on seasonal league lists at CGA and club sites.)

How to Choose the Right League for You

If you’re newer to golf, I recommend:
• starting with 9 holes
• picking a weekday time you can realistically commit to
• prioritizing a league that feels welcoming and consistent over competitive
Leagues are the best place to get the reps that make you better — and you’ll improve faster by playing once a week than trying to do it alone.

What to Expect on Your First Day

Whether you join a women’s club, a Meetup league event, or a corporate/social league:
• most groups welcome golfers of all levels (especially social and beginner leagues)
• you’ll meet women who want to help you feel comfortable
• rules and etiquette become way clearer once you’re in real life rather than studying screenshots
• you’ll leave wanting more golf — and friends — by the end of the season
