Iconic Red Rock Golf, Limited Membership & One of Colorado’s Most Distinctive Private Club Settings

Iconic Red Rock Golf, Limited Membership & One of Colorado’s Most Distinctive Private Club Settings

Set among towering red rock formations just south of Denver, Perry Park Country Club delivers one of the most visually dramatic golf experiences in Colorado. The 18-hole championship course, designed by H.J. Hughes, winds through sandstone monoliths and rolling foothills, creating a layout that feels carved directly from the landscape. Rather than relying on extreme length, the design emphasizes shot placement, elevation awareness, and thoughtful course management. It is a classic routing that rewards strategy and becomes more compelling with every round.

The club’s setting is undeniably spectacular. Massive red rock outcroppings frame fairways, natural contours shape the approach angles, and the mountain foothill backdrop creates a distinctly Colorado aesthetic that sets Perry Park apart from traditional parkland layouts found elsewhere along the Front Range.

While technically a country club, Perry Park more accurately describes itself as a golf and social club centered around its historic Manor House clubhouse. The Manor House provides a refined but welcoming gathering place, while a seasonal restaurant located “at the turn” on the course adds a relaxed, member-focused touch during peak golf season.

The club operates year-round, weather dependent, which is a notable distinction among private clubs in the region. It maintains one of the lowest golf member capacities on the Front Range at just 300 golf members. Because of this limited cap, Perry Park is very close to a full golf membership waiting list, and new spots generally only open when members resign.

The membership structure is family-oriented. Initiation covers the entire household, including children age 22 and younger. The club supports a vibrant golf culture with active men’s, women’s, junior, and couples’ leagues. There are three instructors on staff, including three PGA professionals, and weekly member events and activities contribute to the strong community atmosphere.

Members also benefit from national reciprocal access programs through Private Club Network and OpenRounds, providing reduced green fees at hundreds of private clubs across the country — a meaningful advantage for members who travel.

Full Golf Membership Details

The current Full Golf Membership initiation fee is $30,000, with a payment plan available. One half is due at application approval, with the remaining balance due by April 1, 2026, without interest.

Perry Park is currently offering a Zero Dues Special through April 1, 2026. During this promotional period, members pay no monthly dues and no capital improvement fund contributions.

Beginning April 1, 2026, the standard monthly structure is:

Monthly Dues: $551

Monthly Capital Improvement Fund: $165

Monthly Total: $716

Members are also subject to a $175 quarterly food and beverage minimum.

Given the club’s limited golf capacity and proximity to a waitlist, this pricing structure represents a compelling entry point for families seeking a scenic private club with long-term value.

How Perry Park Fits the Denver Private Club Landscape

Perry Park is often compared to Ravenna and Red Rocks Country Club for its dramatic scenery, but it stands apart for its traditional, community-driven culture and relatively limited membership size. It feels less corporate and more heritage-focused — a club where multi-generational families build long-term connections.

For buyers considering Larkspur, Castle Rock, or South Metro relocation, Perry Park offers one of the most distinctive golf settings in Colorado paired with approachable dues relative to many Denver-area private clubs.

Best For: Golfers and families seeking red rock scenery, limited membership density, and a tight-knit community just south of Denver.
