Glenmoor Country Club (Cherry Hills Village / DTC) - Denver Private Country Clubs: In Depth Guides to Golf, Amenities & Membership

Glenmoor Country Club (Cherry Hills Village / DTC) - Denver Private Country Clubs: In Depth Guides to Golf, Amenities & Membership

Tucked into the heart of Cherry Hills Village near the Denver Tech Center, Glenmoor Country Club delivers a refined private club experience anchored by strategic golf and a distinctly family-oriented culture. It’s the kind of club where serious players and growing families comfortably coexist, where championship design meets community rhythm.

The crown jewel of Glenmoor is its Pete Dye-designed championship course, originally opened in 1984 and fully renovated in 2023 by Love Golf Design. The renovation modernized green complexes, bunker shaping, and turf conditions while preserving Dye’s signature strategic elements — angled approaches, visually intimidating carries, and thoughtful risk-reward decisions. The course plays as a par 71 stretching approximately 6,736 yards from the championship tees, with a course rating of 71.8 and a slope of 141. It’s walkable, strategic, and demanding without being punishing — exactly what long-term member golf should feel like.

The practice facilities complement the course experience, and the club culture leans heavily into programming — from junior development to member events — making it as much a lifestyle destination as a golf club.

Off the course, Glenmoor offers a polished yet approachable private club atmosphere. Members enjoy tennis courts both on property and at Kent Denver School, a seasonal swimming pool, robust junior programming that includes PGA junior golf and youth tennis, and a growing social calendar featuring family events and adult-only wine dinners. A 50,000-square-foot clubhouse renovation is currently underway and scheduled for completion in Summer 2026, positioning Glenmoor for its next chapter.

Golf Membership at Glenmoor Country Club

Golf memberships at Glenmoor are currently limited and include full privileges to the club — including restaurant, pool, tennis, events, banquet spaces — plus unrestricted golf access.

The initiation structure is tiered by age. For those age 41 and older, the golf initiation fee is $95,000, with an additional $30,000 assessment. The payment schedule requires $95,000 due upfront, with the $30,000 assessment due 12 months after activation.

For those age 40 and under, the golf initiation fee is $85,000, structured as $60,000 upfront, $30,000 due 12 months after golf activation, and $25,000 due 24 months after activation. All new golf members are also subject to the $30,000 assessment.

Monthly golf dues are currently $1,420, along with a $150 quarterly food minimum. All memberships are non-equity, non-refundable, and non-transferable, with no exceptions to payment terms. Golf members serve as the voting members of the club.

At present, Glenmoor is offering a $2,000 new member credit for golf members. The credit is distributed upfront and valid for two years, applicable toward club charges other than monthly dues or initiation payments.

Social Membership at Glenmoor Country Club

Social memberships are currently available and include full access to the clubhouse, dining, pool, tennis, events, and banquet spaces, along with limited golf privileges.

The Social initiation fee is $45,000 plus a $20,000 assessment. The payment structure requires $50,000 upfront and $15,000 due 12 months after activation. Monthly Social dues are $665, with the same $150 quarterly food minimum.

Social members may golf as a guest with a Golf member up to 10 times per year, with a current guest fee of $160. Social members may also participate in private lessons, ladies’ group instruction, and junior programming for children. If a Social member later upgrades to a Golf membership, their full Social initiation fee applies toward the Golf initiation, subject to the current Golf pricing and any applicable waitlist.

Social members do not have voting rights within the club.

How Glenmoor Fits the Denver Private Club Landscape

Glenmoor sits in a unique space in the Denver private club ecosystem. It carries the architectural pedigree of a Pete Dye design, the stability of an established Cherry Hills address, and the warmth of a family-forward club. It is less formal than some legacy institutions, more structured than purely golf-centric clubs, and increasingly positioned as a modern, community-driven private experience.

It appeals to established professionals, multi-generational families, and members who want high-level golf without sacrificing the social and lifestyle components that make a club feel like home.
